Large-Scale Household Surveys

  • Household surveys are critical in understanding a wide spectrum of topics and issues that are of interests to clients from both the public (as in social and policy-related issues) and the private (as in FMCG in-home product usage and behavior studies) sectors.
  • However, access to residential buildings presents a major challenge to these household surveys, rendering a question of data representation for the survey sample
  • MVA Business, Social and Market Research Group has been among the very few companies in Hong Kong that have the ability, and certainly a leader with quality as well, to conduct large-scale household surveys, following a highly scientific sampling approach as endorsed by the Census and Statistics Department.
  • Prior to visiting the households sampled for the survey, a notification letter, usually issued and signed by the survey sponsor, is sent out to the households. The sampled respondents are thus ensured the authenticity of the survey.
